240 days remaining for records management policy from US Govt
US government has average of 475 million pages of paper records annually in the last decade.
This does not include electronic information, which NARA estimates has reached 142 terabytes
Presidential Memorandum recognizes the close tie between records management and e-discovery. It says its mandates strive to “create a Government-wide records management framework that is more efficient and cost effective” and “[support] agency compliance with applicable legal requirements related to the preservation of information relevant to litigation.”
